VAN HOLZEN never stand still, on and off stage. Singer and guitarist Florian Kiesling, bassist Jonas Schramm and drummer Daniel Kotitschke reinvented themselves in 2015 and have been making a constant noise in the German-speaking music landscape ever since: their self-titled debut EP was released in 2016 - directly via Warner Music Germany. The album "Anomalie" followed in 2017, "Regen" in 2019 and "Aus der Ferne" in 2021 - this time self-released, it became the band's most successful album to date.

A lot has happened since then: three headlining tours with increasingly packed clubs, numerous festival appearances and five singles in 2023, including features by DISSY and Mia Morgan, which show just how versatile and refreshing VAN HOLZEN are. Somewhere between modern alternative rock and indie, accentuated riffs, fresh drum grooves and catchy vocal melodies alternate. The musicians in their mid-twenties create their very own sound over time and never cease to surprise their audience with new facets of it. Heavy or danceable, sometimes both - anything that moves is allowed.

In his lyrics, Florian Kiesling draws sometimes personal, sometimes more abstract and socio-critical sketches of growing up in a complicated world. Pain and euphoria are often close to each other: "I'm celebrating that I can cope today" or "I dream of a life that nobody rules", VAN HOLZEN create their own cosmos. They manage to put the worries, fears and hopes of an entire generation into the right words.

VAN HOLZEN have always seen themselves as a live band. And anyone who has experienced this show knows why fans keep coming back: To open the valve for a few hours, to feel understood, to let it all out. The band brings together a diverse audience and makes everyone feel comfortable. An atmosphere that, paired with the unique light show and the energetic interplay of the trio, is something very special. The band is currently working on their fourth studio album. So new music won't be long in coming. In March, VAN HOLZEN will once again be touring 18 cities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
