Pearl & The Oysters

For years, Pearl & The Oysters have been navigating their very own sonic world, moving between sun-drenched lightness and the subtle turmoil lurking beneath the surface. The French duo Juliette Pearl Davis (Juju) and Joachim Polack (Jojo), now based in Los Angeles, blend shimmering lounge pop with influences from ’70s piano rock, Brazilian grooves, city pop, and psychedelic textures—playful, warm, and surprisingly multi-layered all at once.

With their new album *Monkey Mind*, Pearl & The Oysters deliver their most immediate work to date. Created during a time marked by personal uncertainty, societal pressures, and the defining moments of a changing Los Angeles, the album revolves around the Buddhist concept of the restless mind: thoughts that jump, circle, and rarely come to a standstill.

Produced by Jonathan Rado (Weyes Blood, The Lemon Twigs, Father John Misty), the record was deliberately created in a spontaneous and direct manner—recorded live on tape, without excessive polish, but full of energy, intimacy, and intuition. The result: an album full of poolside bops, shimmering melodies, and songs that, oscillating between melancholy and euphoria, consistently find comfort and connection.

On December 4, 2026, Pearl & The Oysters will bring this world to the " Gannet " in Basel—with a concert that blurs the line between daydream and reality, somewhere between West Coast Glow and an inner whirlwind of thoughts.
