OKRA lives togetherness, celebrates community, curates cohesion. And the nine-member collective succeeds in doing so with a language that is universal: creativity and lots of infectious rhythms.

The multidisciplinary artists Ka-raba, Mukuna, Foncé, Anouchka Gwen, Glenn Akwasi, Afiajoy, Mafou, Apinti and Kombé have found their common harbor and carry their message more clearly than ever onto the dance floor, behind the decks and thus into the world: with their own party series at GANNET!

OKRA Club Nights aim to turn clubs into new zones of inclusion, whether in Barcelona, New York or Basel. That's why renowned guests are already lined up for the first edition: Jokkoo Collective from Barcelona, Forever Imbricated from Zurich and DeForrest Brown from New York. What unites the different artists and collectives is the vision to live a club culture together, to get up and go, to organize oneself and one's community and to live and enforce the changes one wants to see.

Collaboratively, the party becomes a means to an end, becomes a space that hosts a sound that fits the identity. What does it sound like? Not mainstream - but Deconstructive Club Music and Afrocentric Sonics. Look forward to the celebration of Afrodiasporic club sounds and an unforgettable night.
