OKRA lives togetherness, celebrates community, curates cohesion. And the nine-member collective succeeds in this with a language that is universal: creativity and lots of stirring rhythms.

OKRA FEST makes it their goal to create a safe space for people from the community who are currently underrepresented in the local club scene. Look forward to celebrating Afrodiasporic club sounds, bringing together free spirits from diverse communities from all parts of the world to create a unique and unifying experience together. Careful curation guarantees a diversity of sounds, live acts and African food.

In terms of music, it was a matter of the heart to invite people from the community - resulting in an eclectic program mix from African bass music to contemporary R&B and soul. Given
boundaries between 'club' and 'concert' are to be blown up, thus representing the musical spectrum of the broad community. Sunday also offers the opportunity to immerse oneself in African culinary delights.

Creating a space where people from the community can feel comfortable and celebrated - this is the goal of OKRA FEST. By bringing together individuals from different communities, the festival hopes to create a sense of unity and solidarity that has the potential to transcend national boundaries to connect international artists in a sustainable way.

OKRA - creating a global community!
