Sixteen-year-old Ella from Dortmund has decided to stop making friends—she's too afraid of losing others because of her angry outbursts. Between her parents' crumbling marriage and the distance between her and her siblings, she feels alone. Her only confidant was her neighbor Eckard, who left her a singing plastic fish before he died.

When Ella's younger brother Luis disappears, she sets off on a search with the fish. Equipped with an Aldi bag, plenty of courage, and little fear, she embarks on a dangerous adventure.

About the author Charlotte Brandi:
Born in Herdecke in 1985 and raised in Dortmund, she is not only an author but also an acclaimed musician. She became known as part of the duo Me & My Drummer and is now a solo artist and member of the supergroup Die Benjamins. Her debut novel was eagerly awaited and shows a new side to this versatile artist.
