The Physicalz were founded in 2002 and played a key role in shaping drum and bass culture in Switzerland.
Since 2002, the two masterminds, Patrick Kaiser and Süli Simsek, have been broadcasting at Radio X and are an integral part of the Jungle Street Groove Parade. As artists, they travel internationally (UK, AU, DE, etc.)
As curators at the Kaserne from 2007-2020, they were responsible for Urban Bass.
A particular concern of both is to promote drum and bass culture.
The two are all the more pleased to have found a new cultural and musical home at Gannet , which also fits perfectly with the philosophy behind the interpretation of drum and bass culture.

The narrative here is danced and lived reality free of sexism, racism, fascism and homophobia.
In keeping with this narrative, the artist Inja, who shines with his lyrical skills, was engaged for the first edition of Urban Bass at Gannet .
His passion for writing doesn't stop at music; he also writes articles about sexual harassment and immigration for the Guardian and the Huffington Post.
One of his songs is called "She just wanna dance" and is clearly a statement against sexual harassment.
Especially in times of "me too" and the global shift to the right, it is all the more important that artists and musicians take a clear stand, after "me too" is before "me too".
There is still a lot to do.

The second headliner was Gannet and Physicalz Document One. The duo are one of the most important acts today and are at home on stages all over the world. Document One, who hail from Oxford, are an integral part of the scene and their tour calendar is always full. The duo released on one of the biggest labels Shogun and are an integral part of the Elevate family.
