Islandman

Islandman are real music trio and fictional character in equal measure. Musically, they embody the story of a visionary who, inspired by an island that doesn't exist, lands on roads that lead him to the most beautiful and exciting places...

Carried by these stories, Islandman's travels have taken them to the Best Band Award at the Montreux Jazz Festival, to Kecak dances in Bali, to adventures in the streets of Paris, and to ancient women's sounds in the mountains of Bulgaria. Further, they traveled to Aşık Veysel in Anatolia, Worldwide FM in London, hypnotic Tuareg music in the deserts of Mali, a guest appearance on Elton John's radio show, a techno stop on the Boiler Room series, studio sessions with Bongo Ent. in Denmark, and the most graceful female voices of South America.

Islandman have managed to create an alternative existence and form a family of exceptional members from many places around the world. With the sharp mind of Tolga Böyük in production, psychedelic guitar riffs of Erdem Başer and the 4-beat rhythms of Eralp Güven, Islandman's performances become a shamanic ritual with collected sounds from the paths they walk. Like all healers, shamans and spirits who are self-aware, Islandman open the door to alternative existences for their listeners in concerts.
