It was quiet around Harvey Rushmore & the Octopus for a long time. Now the psych rock band is back with their third LP "Freedomspacecake" - after "Futureman" (2018) and "The Night" (2017) for the first time on the psychedelic record label Taxi Gauche Records. The quartet has used the pandemic-related touring and concert impossibility to musically process the prevailing conditions. The result is nine tracks that deal with fears, excesses and the downfall of the world. A bad trip, which threatens the world for a long time. According to Harvey Rushmore & the Octopus, there is only one remedy: "Freedomspacecake".

"Freedomspacecake" is Harvey Rushmore & the Octopus 46-minute dystopian and psych fuzz-soaked response to a world that goes from one disaster to the next without having given up hope for anything better. A journey you're almost scared of, but one that still thrills you enough to make you wish it would never end.
