ByteFM presents:
Duo Show with Eddie Chacon & John Carroll Kirby

Eddie Chacon
Eddie Chacon experienced a true triumph in the nineties with the soul duo Charles and Eddie: In 1992, they landed a worldwide number one hit with "Would I Lie To You," were featured three times on Top of the Pops, and appeared on soundtracks ranging from True Romance to Super Mario Bros.
Over the course of his career, Chacon wrote, sang or produced ten Top 40 hits around the globe before leaving the music industry to focus on his career as a photographer and creative director.
In 2020, The Fader announced Chacon's return to music after three decades of silence as a singer.

John Caroll Kirby
With highly acclaimed albums from recent years, there's a good chance that the work of John Carroll Kirby is behind them. The pianist, producer and composer has worked with artists such as Solange, Frank Ocean, Bat for Lashes, Connan Mockasin, Sébastien Tellier, Harry Styles and many others.
After several high-profile collaborations, Kirby began releasing his own music: Travel (2017), which he wrote and recorded in rural Belize, and the ambient album Meditations in Music, released in 2018 on Stones Throw's sister label Leaving Records. In 2020, he released "My Garden," with which he rapidly gained fans and was Pitchfork, The Fader, LA Times, Q and Mojo hipstered and nominated for an A2IM Libera Award for Best Jazz Album. In 2021, he released the album "Septet," inspired by putting together a septet for a performance at LA's famous jazz venue, The Blue Whale. That same year, he released his first film score for Cryptozoo, an animated feature drama written and directed by Dash Shaw and featuring the voices of Lake Bell, Zoe Kazan, Michael Cera and Louisa Krause. The film won the NEXT Innovator Award at Sundance and had its international premiere at the 2021 Berlinale.
