DMX KREW sounds at first like a hip-hop group from the American East Coast. In fact, there is only one person behind the name - ED UPTON. A Brit who has been catapulting the sound of the past into the present with an analogue equipment park since the early 1990s. His synthesizers spit out electro snippets that make neon-coloured 1980s leggings shine, but also dip the shoulder pads they brought along in poison-green acid and elicit awkward movements on the dance floor from people in carrot trousers. At least that's what you could easily imagine when listening to his records. ED UPTON has produced over 1,700 tracks in his career. His career spans more than 25 years of electronic music innovation and began as one of the busiest artists under the label of APHEX TWIN. This association alone should be enough to know the quality of the Londoner's productions.
We've been wanting to put this party in our programme calendar for quite some time and urge you to do the same!
