3YOONI

Having fled from Baghdad to Switzerland as a child, Yassin Mahdi was confronted at an early age with the narratives and stereotypes often imposed on Arab people. 3YOONI (pronounced: ayooni) is his musical response to these experiences and observations. While his debut album *BAGHDAD* offered a personal and critical exploration of identity and language, the new EP *MIDDLE WEST* turns its attention to the systems that shape these experiences—and challenges racism, patriarchy, and Orientalism.
Synth-driven electronic music meets Arabic influences; oud melodies intertwine with synthesizers and drum machines, accompanied by his unmistakable voice—challenging, unsettling, and captivating all at once. The result is a deeply moving work: a truly unique sound paired with astute political insight and a deep sense of humanity.

Leila Moon is a DJ who mixes her favorite tracks from various genres, capturing her current mood and state of mind. Her Algerian roots shape her entire body of work, and her performances are always an immersive experience.

Leila Moon also works as a producer of plays and installations. As a DJing and beatmaking coach, she has helped other emerging female, trans, and non-binary artists find their way into music-making, DJing, and music production through numerous workshops in Switzerland and Algeria.
