Danitsa
Music has been a part of Danitsa’s life for as long as she can remember. Growing up in a family of musicians, she sang her father’s songs as a child—long before the Franco-Swiss singer even thought about what “genre” meant. That’s exactly where her signature vibe came from: hip-hop meets soul meets reggae. Warm, smooth, effortless. As if her voice always finds exactly the right path.
Danitsa has performed in over 200 shows across Europe—from Montreux Jazz to Paléo, Eurosonic, Reeperbahn, and MaMA. Her music has been streamed over 12 million times; she’s earned a gold single, two Swiss Music Awards, and an MTV EMA nomination… And then things went quiet for four years.
At least on the surface. While the music industry became faster and more algorithm-driven, Danitsa deliberately stepped back. To figure out who she is, what she really wants to say, and how she wants her voice to sound.
That’s why 2026 doesn’t feel like a classic comeback, but rather like a self-determined fresh start. The single “Miss Yo” is just the first spark. With her upcoming album, she opens up a whole universe of themes such as family, sisterhood, love, self-love, identity, and rediscovering her own voice. On top of that, there are collaborations with MOLIY, Strandz, and Jarreau Vandal, just to name a few.
