On 18.11.2022 the Basel Pop- Prize 2022 will be awarded and we want to celebrate that.

The award ceremony will be framed by Luke Le Loup and Somatic Rituals, Okra Collective and Schwifi will provide the afterparty. On deck you can Speedfrienden, next to the galley Basler Pop-Karaoke singing and much more.
Admission is free!

Luke Le Loup (Live)
Luke Le Loup aka Luca Glausen is a drummer and producer who fuses band sound and electronic music. His remixes are legendary and his own music has evolved from trip hop via hip hop to what is now arguably pop. He now goes so far as to sing himself in his latest tracks! At the Basel Pop Award he will raise the award ceremony to unimagined award show levels with his own songs, covers and live remixes!

Somatic Rituals
Tracing their African roots, mind-altering rhythms and Afrocentric grooves are the focus of their music. Conceptual electronic music mixes with club oriented dance tracks without losing a "soulfulness" that stems from the 1990s. Their sets present a wide range of sounds, from pumping New York House to rhythmic techno.

Okra Collective
OKRA is a collective that addresses the global crisis facing BiPoC by creating collaborative practices and empowering genderfluid and gender-questioning BiPoC. The collective creates a non-discriminatory party culture with BiPoC and brings BiPoC artists:in to the stages and spotlight.

Schwifi
Welcome to the Hotel-Bar. Enjoy Free Schwifi and a warm Beer. The DJ duo is no longer an insider tip. They convince with a wide range of House, Breaks and Afrobeats. The main thing is that the low end is right. What rhymes is right, and so the Unilever Bifi slogans from the 90s fit like a glove:
"Schwifi has bite." - 1992
"Schwifi must go" - 1998
"Schwifi, and good." - 2002
