anaiis brings "Devotion & The Black Divine" to Basel

The London-based French-Senegalese artist anaiis is coming to Switzerland as part of her major 2027 UK & EU tour: On March 6, 2027, she’ll be performing at the Gannet in Basel—an evening filled with neo-soul, a powerful voice, and intimate songwriting.

The Basel show is part of an 18-concert tour that kicks off on February 23 in Copenhagen, winds its way through Europe, and culminates on March 24 with a headline show at the legendary KOKO in London.

The focus of the evening is anaiis’s 2025 album *Devotion & The Black Divine*, which has already racked up over 20 million streams and was named one of the albums of the year by *New Yorker*, Apple Music, BBC 6, and *Wordplay Magazine*—and has been celebrated by *The Guardian*, *The Observer*, *Rolling Stone UK*, the BBC, *Numéro*, *Crack Magazine*, and *CLASH*, among others. The album explores self-discovery, motherhood, and acceptance—with emotional clarity and a growing sense of coming home to oneself.

She is also expected to perform new, unreleased material live in Basel, as well as her latest singles, “Sunshine” and “P4P,” which were recorded in London with a live band: “Sunshine” captures the exhilarating feeling of an encounter that turns one’s world upside down, while “P4P,” a protest song, weaves together joy and anger, desire and justice.

About the Artist

Born in Toulouse and raised in Dakar, Dublin, and Oakland, anaiis was influenced by thinkers and artists such as Nina Simone, James Baldwin, bell hooks, and Ella Fitzgerald. She has opened for Daniel Caesar, shared the stage with Erykah Badu, and recently performed at the We Out Here Festival with a full choir and a surprise appearance by Nao.
