Peter Kernel

Peter Kernel is a Swiss post-pop duo consisting of Barbara Lehnho and Aris Bassetti. Inspired by their love story, they have been working together and releasing their own music since 2005.
Their music is completely empty and simply complicated. It's pop, it's rock, it's experimental and that's why they were called to play in many different situations like the Montreux Jazz Festival, the fashion week in Milan, swimming pools, heavy noise festivals, museums and concert halls like the HMV Forum in London or the Soundlabs Festival in a stadium in Italy

Drum To Death " is a collection of 11 experiments by Peter Kernel and his favorite drummers. The full-length album was released digitally via On The Camper Records on Friday, October 13, 2023, with CD and vinyl pressings now following in December 2023. In the period 2020-2023, Peter Kernel invited eleven of his favorite drummers to send him rhythms from which he composed these eleven tracks. Each song was written and dedicated to the respective drummer as an ode of appreciation to the beat creator. These
eleven songs form a unique collection of an unusual collaboration based on the appreciation of different styles and people, a micro-world of different feelings, patterns, colors, intentions and attitudes.
The album features collaborations with Bernard Trontin (The Young Gods), Cosmic Neman (Zombie Zombie), Beatrice Graf, Domi Chansorn, Ema Matis, Tam Bor, Hugo Panzer, Julian Sartorius, Kevin Shea (Storm & Stress, Lydia Lunch), Simon Berz , Simone Aubert (Hyperculte, Massicot)
